Ever heard of the quote "Yesterday you said tomorrow, Just do it" ? Well this is a well known quote that has been liked and reposted thousands of times, but only taken into consideration on what it really means by a few.

Procrastinating happens to be the killer of many dreams as a lot of people miss out on huge opportunities by postponing the little things. Researchers have found that approximately 86% of Young Adults and Teenagers procrastinate and only about 56% of them actually get the task completed. Yep, I agree. That's a nasty percentage and truth of the matter is, it might seem like an issue of little mass but it actually has a huge effect on their lives when they grow older as it becomes an unbeatable habit.

People procrastinate because their drive to delay is irrationally stronger than their drive to act. Procrastination derives from a negative side of mental health. For example; anxiety, depression, low self esteem and ADHD(Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).

Here are some tips and tricks to overcome procrastination :

1. Create a To do list and next to every task insert a motivational quote of choice.

2. Reward yourself for completing tasks

3. Keep your environment distraction free.

4.Set deadlines in order to pace yourself as it indirectly applies pressure on you to actually complete the task at hand.

5. Lastly, feel the joy of getting things done and out of your way.

With the application of these tips at hand, procrastination being a part of your lifestyle should be a thing of the past. However do bear in mind that application without will may lead to discouragement and moreover procrastination in itself. Therefore, do intend to find the little enjoyment within what you do so that you are better satisfied with completing the task.

Become a Pro, at defeating Procrastination !
